Blackie’s World
Blackie’s World is about a family of cats.
Their adventures, as told in these stories, are mostly true. All the cats are real cats, all the persons are real, and all the places are true places. Some of the circumstances were made up by Blackie and her person and some of the names were changed.
So please come visit Blackie Belle. She invites you to her home and to meet her friends and to escape to the pleasant world of Magnolia Drive.
Help for the Lost Ones
Blackie Belle was once a homeless kitten, lost and alone with a broken paw during a cold November rain storm. She was rescued and cared for by a member of the Texarkana Humane Society and now she is a happy and healthy and very round little cat.
Blackie’s best friend, Cuddles, was also rescued by a Humane Society member. Cuddles’ mother died in a car accident when Cuddles and her litter mates were only a few days old. Cuddles was hand raised and grew to be a gentle and deeply affectionate cat who is dearly loved by her person.
Because the Humane Society brought life and hope to Blackie and Cuddles, both cats have asked their person to dedicate this website to the support of the Texarkana Humane Society.
Blackie invites you to support the Texarkana Humane Society
The Texarkana Humane Society (THS) is a nonprofit volunteer organization dedicated to re-homing orphaned animals, promoting the human-animal bond, preventing animal cruelty, educating children and adults about responsible pet ownership, and preventing pet overpopulation.
You are invited to visit the Texarkana Humane Society website and to meet the fine animal companions featured there. Membership in the THS for one year is only $10.00. Please contact www.texarkanahumanesociety.com.
Donations are always welcomed by the Texarkana Humane Society. Most are used for a low cost community spay/neuter program and for adoption events. Donations may be sent to: Texarkana Humane Society

Blackie's Last Word
Blackie would like to remind her readers that she lives in a quiet, rural community and has a large, safe yard. For this reason she and her friends and the other cats of her household are allowed to go outside during the day. Most neighborhoods are not so safe and most cats are happier and safer if they don’t go outside. Blackie and the cats of her household are not allowed to stay outside after dark
